  • Will I receive a uniform?

    Yes. Every team member is issued a comfortable and professional uniform — including shirt, trousers, and jacket — so you’re prepared and presentable from day one.

  • Is cleaning a physically demanding job?

    Thanks to modern technology and ergonomic equipment, commercial cleaning today is far less physically demanding than people often expect. While you’ll need to be active and alert, many tasks are routine and supported by tools like automated scrubbers and lightweight gear.

  • What hours can I expect to work?

    We offer a range of shifts — morning, evening, day, or night — depending on the site. Whether you’re looking for full-time, part-time, or casual hours, we aim to create a schedule that works for you and the client.

  • What types of locations does Izzmate clean? Can I choose where I work?

    We clean a wide variety of spaces, including office buildings, schools, government facilities, and shopping centres. While placement depends on business needs, we try our best to assign you to a location that suits your preferences and travel requirements.

  • Do I need to bring my own cleaning tools or products?

    Not at all. Izzmate provides everything you need to do your job safely and effectively, including commercial-grade equipment, eco-friendly products, and all safety gear.

  • How quickly can I start once hired?

    Once you’ve been offered a role, onboarding begins almost immediately. You’ll receive a complete induction, your uniform, training, and be introduced to your site and team — usually within your first week.

  • I’ve never worked in commercial cleaning before. Can I still apply?

    Yes, you can — and we encourage it! At Izzmate, we welcome team members from all backgrounds, regardless of experience. We believe that if you’re motivated, reliable, and willing to learn, you can succeed with us. We provide full training for every new recruit to ensure you’re confident on the job.

  • How do I get paid?

    Izzmate pays all employees under the appropriate Award using the PAYG system. Your pay is transferred directly to your bank account every fortnight. All you need to provide is your Tax File Number and bank details during onboarding.

  • Can I apply if I’m on a visa in Australia?

    Yes — if your visa includes work rights, we’re happy to have you on board. We proudly employ staff from various nationalities and cultural backgrounds and are committed to fair and legal employment practices.

  • What does Izzmate do to keep staff safe from viruses like COVID-19?

    Safety is our top priority. Our teams follow strict hygiene protocols and receive up-to-date training on infection control. We use hospital-grade disinfectants, provide PPE, and deliver specialist deep cleans where needed. You’ll always have the knowledge and equipment to stay safe at work.

  • Will I receive training before starting work?

    Yes. At Izzmate, we ensure every new team member completes a structured induction that includes site-specific training, safety protocols, and cleaning standards. Even experienced cleaners are trained to align with Izzmate’s systems and expectations.

  • What support do I receive once I start working?

    You’ll be supported by a Site Supervisor or Team Leader who ensures you’re comfortable and confident in your role. You’ll also have access to ongoing training, check-ins, and a support system for feedback, questions, or concerns.

  • What happens if I have a concern or complaint while working?

    At Izzmate, we take employee feedback seriously. We have a formal process for raising concerns confidentially, and we act swiftly to resolve any issues. Our people are our priority, and a respectful, safe work environment is non-negotiable.

  • Are there opportunities for flexible or part-time work?

  • Does Izzmate provide Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)?

    Absolutely. Your safety is critical to us. We provide all required PPE based on your worksite, including gloves, masks, and other gear when necessary.

  • Will I have to travel far to get to work?

    We always try to assign staff to sites close to where they live, but it depends on contract availability. If travel is involved, we’ll communicate the expectations clearly during your onboarding.
